JMU President Met with the President of Singapore Institute of Management (SIM)

On the morning of September 13, the President of Jimei University (JMU) Xie Chaotian met with Wei Kwok Kee, the President of Singapore Institute of Management (SIM). The heads from the International Cooperation and Exchange Department and Overseas Education College also attended the discussion.

Xie Chaotian provided an overview of JMU’s history, educational strengths, talent cultivation strategies, and international collaborations. He expressed hopes for both institutions to cultivate topnotch talents tailored to future social needs through expanded program cooperation, academic resource sharing, and faculty-student exchanges. Wei Kwok Kee reviewed the longstanding ties between the two universities, and then introduced SIM’s educational philosophy, curriculum design, and talent cultivation model. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on broadening new collaboration models and postgraduate training programs.

This meeting not only strengthened mutual understanding but also marked the beginning of a new chapter in cooperation between the two universities.

Following the meeting, Wei Kwok Kee and his delegation visited the Overseas Education College for program discussions and held a dialogue with students.
